This is very much a pilot watch. It has only 30 meters of water resistance, but that should be fine for most people using it. The design is really cool, and I am glad that Omega is still focusing on those wanting high-function high-end quartz movement watches. The historic case and nod to Omega's past are going to be desirable touches. The watch will come with both a leather and rubber strap. More details on the new Spacemaster Z-33 watch as I get them.

As with RGM's other high-end watches, you can usually assume it'll a) have their honest-abe engine-turned dial and b) not be cheap. Both are true here, and this piece is all about the dial as other brands have pieces with 7751 movements.
Legibility is pretty good and you aren't likely to complain that the dial is dull. I have worn an awful lot of too-utilitarian dive watches out there with legible yet ultimately dull dial designs. With a fashionable-twist, John Isaac keeps enough spruce in their step. Did you notice how rather than state "Swiss Made", the bottom of the dial has cursive text that reads "Manufacture en Suisse?" Swanky right?

I asked to review one of their simpler watches, but when Rich countered by offering me a 160 to review, I jumped at the chance.
Calling it luxury isn't fair. This is just the price of quality measuring instruments if Richard Mille has anything to say about it. The good news is that it (likely) won't cost you more than the plane it is intended to help navigate. Offered right now in a titanium case, it won't weigh that much either. The dive-style watch was a good model to build the E6-B on as it previously had a rotating bezel - which was modified into the slide-rule mechanism.

Clever business practices allowed Jaquet Droz to gain access to high families and royalty. I believe his first major audience was with the Spanish court and royal family. So impressed were they with his work that he was able to fund months (if not years) of work with their orders. Jaquet Droz knew that the perception of his skill and ability to impress was key to his success. In order to do this he would create wonderful performance pieces meant to add value to his more standard creations. This is where the androids came in.
