There are far more watches costing 0,000 than you'd guess; and many that exceed that price. If you are going to spend that type of money on a watch, it might as well have a unique novelty, considering you aren't going to wear it very often. Here we have an interesting toy for the uber-wealthy, from obscure watch maker Mermod Freres. What an ostentatious sounding name even.
The modern evolution of Sinn watches seem to be taking the company in the direction of making watch instruments. The style and fashion statement here, is that you can take the watch anywhere. They flourish in the German ideal of highly functional engineering. And if there was ever a Porsche of watches, it would be Sinn. A no nonsense design that looks good because it is clean and functional without being tedious, boring, or generic. Look for the Sinn U1000 watch available soon, for about 00. Available with or without a PVD finish, with a rubber strap and optional steel bracelet. The U100 is my choice for the most desirable Sinn watch now available!
Don't walk out just yet, stop to look at something else for a moment before leaving the store. Chances are they will say "OK" and give you the price. How do I know all this? Well beyond loving to bargain, I have been offered this discount at various watch stores, often without even asking. Not just small places, but corporate stores as well. Once I was in the Mont Blanc store in San Francisco discussing the watches with the store manager. Realized that I knew what I was talking about she informed me that she could take off 25% off any item. I didn't even have to ask.
An interesting quirk about the watch exists on the bezel which instead of displaying the common "60" at the top displays "0." The effect is of course the same, but it is an interesting departure from the norm. Now what is this love child going to cost? Well the good news is that it is a "limited production" watch, and not merely a "limited edition." Which means it is going to be continually made, just in sparse numbers. And if you can get your hands on one, it is about ,000 depending on the exchange rate with the Euro. A beautiful marriage of style and refinement, with a world-class movement, the Chanel by Audemars Piguet will find a happy home no matter which parent is chooses to live with. www.chanel.com
Marcello C's US distributor, www.Marcellc-watches.com, knows the power of customer testimonials. In fact, it would be a great idea for watch companies to invest more money in providing a receptive atmosphere for consumers to publish such positive testimonials regarding their ownership experiences with watches. Although far from conspicuous, Marcello C Watches places links to selected customer reviews of their watches here. I am proud to be the first on the list of customer review links, and happy that Marcello C Watches is taking consumer reviews seriously. A good selling point, and better yet it shows that the seller is listening to its customers.
In a bold and unexpected move, TechnoMarine has released the Cruise Britto collection featuring four watches, each with a different Romero Britto image on each. As far as I know, this is a first for TechnoMarine, but it makes sense. Focus on the female market in the last few years has been fruitful as TechnoMarine is a solid go-to watch when you want a watch that combines function, sport, and distinct feminine styling for those who aren't sold on always wearing a formal watch. TechnoMarine was one of the first to present the world with the rubber watch with diamonds. At one point this seemed an odd combination, and for some reason today seems almost mainstream, thank you TechnoMarine for finding yet another type of watch to guild with jewels. One of the new Cruise Britto collection watches has a diamond bezel, while the rest have the standard rotating steel bezel. The shouting colors of these watch would not be possible if not for the innovation of Swatch in the 1980's with their many models features similar color palettes.
I bring this all up to display not only a frustrating set of circumstances, but a triumph of profit forward - consumer backward thinking. I am not so naive as to misunderstand the rationale of the Apple executives sitting in their buttonless offices with finger prints everywhere. No, it is more the attitude of the consumer which distresses me. No matter how oppressive Apple gets, people keep purchasing their product; which is not even that good. Apple makes no secrets that the iPod exists to lock people into using iTunes. Of course the iPhone would function the same way. It boggles my mind why people keep putting up with this. Apple, the one time underdog, is now at the forefront of monopolistic behavior. As such, they have consistently been sued in Europe with little remorse. In fact, then simply said they would not sell iTunes music in various countries that be forced to allow other MP3 players to access the music files. Another example is that Apple has been forced to unlock iPhones in France. Kudos to the French for not putting up with them. Apple needs to learn that the very behavior it tried to subvert, it is not the prime purveyor of.

Then again, one really needs to observe what the blog is supposed to do? Spread ideas, sell a product, promote one's self? They say that employers now are looking at people's Myspace pages and alike. First as a check on one's character, next as a place to find new employees. Will one's blog be the next step? If you think about it, a blog is one's ultimate resume.
DeWitt appreciates interest in their watches, and wants to work with potential buyers closely. DeWitt does not allow its authorized retailers to sell over the internet. Further, DeWitt wants to remind you that pre-owned watches not purchased from an authorized dealer will certainly not carry any warranty coverage (so repairs and service will be costly). Their position is that if you don't purchase a watch from an authorized dealer they cannot guarantee a watch's authenticity and conformity to their high quality standards. If you want to purchase a DeWitt watch from an authorized dealer, then please visit their website, DeWitt.ch, and follow these steps:

Frankly speaking, Audemars Piguet does not need Chanel to enhance to look of their line, as they make some of the more beautiful watches available. Chanel probably benefits more from this relationship as it solidifies their status as a seller of serious watches. The watch model is simply named, "Chanel by Audemars Piguet." Nothing fancy about the name, and to be honest, aside from the Audemars Piguet movement inside, little has changed about the J12 design. The most notable addition is the switch from steel to gold for the trim. Gold and black mix together very well and the effect is dramatic. This watch is seriously handsome. The brushed gold finish is not overly glitzy providing a subtle elegance.
The gift giving season is upon us, and at least for myself, the biggest issue is always, "what should I get ____?!" Of course, the commercialized nature of the season imbibes us with the notion that our paramount motivation for the next few monthsis ardently selecting those gifts that, "they will remember/will mean something to them/will make them think fondly of me forever." Often times this task requires far more dedication and thought than is possible for busy people such as ourselves.
1. WatchTime: Available at most newstands, WatchTime is the "Car & Driver" of watch magazines. Good overview of fine watches with a handful of in depth reviews. Little mention of watch prices for the most part, but then again this can be blamed on the manufactures. WatchTime is coherently written, and always has a good deal of imagines and pictures. Another good aspect of the magazine are interviews with watch lovers, including celebrities or wealth collectors. Interesting to see how their love of watches started and developed.
Those who collect often share an appreciation for the nostalgic. and the rare. Seeing the story that something has behind it is always important in being able to have a collection. I find myself talking about the design process, or history of ownership in watches I have and realize that I have more than a set of watches, but a carefully selected collection of items that each have a special meaning behind it. There is also the dimension or rarity. Countless watches come in limited editions, or are just very hard to get. The process of obtaining a watch will often be as great a joy as owning a watch. In today's world, using the internet made this process that much more rewarding, as connections are made which once would remain so very distant. Collecting watches can be difficult at times. Not only are there so many nice watches, but the hobby is often prohibitively expensive. A good collectors knows how to evaluate new acquisitions with the skill of a appraiser in determining what a good price is, and the relative value of a new watch to an existing collection. Not always an easy task.

Well-Done Double Retrograde From Pierre DeRoche: New Brand On The Scene
The effect is actually quite cool. The watch face has a flat look to it. As though the dial, hands, and crystal are on one plane. It further allows for excellent visibility from any angle. Which is a nice added benefit. You might be wondering just how deep the Sinn UX can dive? How do you feel about "unlimited depth?" Because that is pretty much what you can except. Remember the divers in Abyss that I was just talking about? Well they could have easily descended the miles of depth they experienced wearing a Sinn UX. If you need a number, figure something like 5000 meters or more.

Not being a Timezone insider, I cannot comment with great specificity as to the internal manner in which Timezone is operated. I can however say that the mass banning of members, highly restrictive content guidelines, and totalitarian approach to doing business is inappropriate for the type of resource it claims to be and effectively removes its ability to be a welcome destination for watch consumers or enthusiasts. I cannot comment on the practices of other forums, but to my current knowledge only Timezone.com engage in conduct which is so flagrantly anti-consumer.
The Orbita Privee RX, which I will refer to as the "RX" was originally designed to be sold with a Breguet logo, but the deal went sour with the Swatch Group. Having designed the winder, Orbita decided to market it directly to the consumer. Frankly, I think this is wise, I only wished the RX was a better winder. I cannot speak for any other Orbita winder, as I hear generally good things, but the RX is a sub-par watch winder in design and function. Frankly, my investigation of other Orbita watch winders yielded positive results for the most part, and this review strictly concerns this one model.

When you get a speeding ticket there are right ways and wrong ways to get out of them. If you are lucky enough to talk your way out of it, then you have passed go, and the state cannot collect your 0 (or more). If you are written a ticket, you want to stay silent and preserve your rights. There are many tricks involved in getting you to admit your wrong. Such as the old "if you admit you were speeding, I will say you went only 10 mph over the speed limit, and not 2o mph." That is a classic plea bargain. Don't fall for it unless you are ready to pay your fine. They do this so if you ever contest the ticket in court, then can pull out their book to remind then (or place their recorded recollection into evidence) that you in fact made those remarks. The judge will believe them.
