The date indication is located at the 6 o'clock position, where a cyclops has been installed on the outside of the sapphire crystal. Whether or not the cyclops is a preferable design element or not is fully up to everyone's own taste, but while it adds plenty of magnification, it also shows a lot of distortion – so much, in fact, that I found it difficult to see the entire numeral sharp and intact, without at least part of it being distorted. I understand that it adds some welcome visual weight to the lower segment of the dial, therefore breaking the symmetry of the face of the watch, and with that in mind, its inclusion in the design makes sense.
If you want to be a little bit like Mr. Briatore and have the funds, Mr. Arabo will no doubt find a way of producing your perfect item of timepiece opulence. The Jacob & Co. Billionaire Watch is a bit insane, but that's Flavio's dream, and he can rest assured that no one else will be walking around with one of these. It sounds silly and like the last problem anyone will ever actually worry about having, but people with this type of wealth really do care about the fact that they have stuff no one else has - and for Mr. Briatore and a lot of other Jacob & Co. clients, that means a bracelet full of large diamonds that happens to tell the time if you look closely enough. Price for the Jacob & Co. Billionaire Watch is 18,000,000 Swiss Francs (currently about ,848,500 USD). jacobandco.com
In my years dealing with watch collectors, I have yet to meet a single person who dedicates the time and effort to creating a comprehensive journal of their collection including data about the watches, when and where they purchased them, and then takes data and sends it off with the watch to the next owner whether that is their heir or a subsequent buyer. I am not saying that this never happens - as I am sure some people do it - but I have found that it is rare.
Patek Philippe has got to be one of the most unpredictable brands in recent times. Most recently, the company announced that it would revise its prices and that resulted in most regions receiving price cuts. Although this is not the first time Patek Philippe has done so, it comes at a time when the Swiss Franc has appreciated significantly and other powerhouses like Rolex and Audemars Piguet have increased their prices. And at Baselworld 2014 last year, it released a high-complication steel watch, the Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5960 (hands-on). That was a watch that caught everyone off guard and got everyone excited, and this year, Patek Philippe is at it again.
What you are looking at here is the new Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 5524 introduced at Baselworld 2015. Yes, it is an unmistakably pilot-style watch from Patek Philippe. Your eyes are not kidding you.

Here, Omega debuts the name "Co-Axial Master Chronometer" which more or less replaces "Master Co-Axial" that has been around for only a year.
